Mission Summary

After the shocking terrorist attacks on May 14, 2041, which led to the devastating loss of President Carlos Vanes and his Cabinet, the United States is left in turmoil. With the White House and Pentagon in ruins, the legislative branch is under immense pressure to restore order. Newly sworn-in President Jack Killright is determined to guide the nation through its darkest hour.

Despite the challenges, the U.S. government is regaining its footing, and investigations are underway to uncover the perpetrators of the attacks. The nation is cautiously moving forward, and President Killright, along with Vice President John Franklin, faces the monumental task of implementing policy decisions that will shape the country's future. Adding to the complexity, Vice President Franklin was assnated, and Now leaving the United States without a Vice President.

As the intelligence community uncovers new leads and political tensions rise, Killright's administration must navigate various domestic and international challenges. Additionally, he faces pressure to expand the United States by adding more states, increasing the total from 50 to 64. This proposal adds another layer of complexity to an already challenging political landscape.

In addition to the domestic crisis, the international landscape has become increasingly volatile. Just as the U.S. begins to regain stability, Russian forces cross into the demilitarized zone (DMZ) between Russia and Ukraine, sparking fears of a wider conflict. President Killright responds swiftly by deploying 50,000 American troops as a deterrent and engaging in critical diplomatic talks. Thanks to international support, particularly from Chinese President Liang Wei, Russian President Zarkev agrees to pull back his forces, preventing further escalation. This diplomatic victory secures peace for now but adds another layer of complexity to an already tense situation.

As the investigation into the terrorist attacks intensifies and the U.S. government works toward regaining its footing, President Killright and his administration must implement key policies to restore public trust and ensure the nation’s security. However, navigating the fractured political landscape in Congress, increasing pressure to take action on both domestic and international fronts, the proposal for state expansion, and the complications stemming from the Vice President's assassination will test Killright's leadership in the days ahead. The road to recovery remains uncertain, but with his team by his side, Killright must make critical decisions to lead the nation forward.
